HELLO I’M MONICA!
ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Monica Hwang, a Product Designer based in Los Angeles.
I studied Interaction Design at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, and before that, architecture — a background that still shapes how I think about structure, flow, and how people move through systems.
Over time, my curiosity shifted from physical spaces to digital products. I became drawn to interfaces, workflows, and information structures — and how design can help people move through complex systems with more clarity.
My recent work has focused on improving product clarity, redesigning complex workflows, and creating design solutions that hold up in real product environments. I enjoy finding the structure underneath complexity and shaping it into UX/UI experiences that are clear, usable, and well-crafted.
I care about the details that make a product feel right: hierarchy, interaction, micro-moments, and the handoff that helps a design become real. To me, good design is not just about making something look polished. It is about making complex things feel simpler, more usable, and more human.
